This agreement

These terms are between you and [PLACEHOLDER: legal entity — confirm], [PLACEHOLDER: registered address] (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Fillaid you accept them. If you do not, do not use it.

How we handle your data is in our privacy policy, which is part of this agreement.

What Fillaid is

Fillaid is a Chrome extension that keeps a profile of your details on your own device and types them into web forms when you ask it to. There are two tiers:

• Free. Fields are matched by rules that run inside the extension on your device. Learning from what you type, more than one profile, and filling itself all work at this tier, and nothing is sent to us.
• Pro, a paid monthly subscription. Adds model-assisted filling: the fields the rules cannot work out — a box with no label, the same label used twice, an unusually built control — are matched by a language model we host. This is what the subscription pays for.

Passwords are never saved or filled at either tier. Fillaid is not a password manager and is not a substitute for one.

Your licence key

A subscription issues one licence key. It is personal to you and non-transferable: do not share it, publish it, resell it or use it on behalf of anyone else. Anyone holding the key can use your subscription, so treat it as you would a password.

The key is shown on the page you land on after payment, and that page always shows the same key, so you can return to it. Activation limit: [PLACEHOLDER: how many activations or devices one key allows — activations are counted today but not enforced].

We may deactivate a key that is shared, resold or used in a way these terms do not allow.

Billing, renewal and cancellation

• Price and payment. The price is the one shown at checkout. Payment is taken by Dodo Payments, which is the merchant of record and handles tax for your country. Dodo issues your licence key and emails it to you.
• Renewal. The subscription is monthly and renews automatically until you cancel. [PLACEHOLDER: notice period for a price change]

• After you cancel. Model-assisted filling keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for. Because the extension holds an access token that lasts 24 hours, a cancellation can take up to a day to take effect after that. Then the extension goes back to the free tier; your profiles and everything it has learned stay on your device untouched.
• Failed payments. While Dodo is retrying a card that did not go through, access stays on rather than cutting off mid-month. If the payment is never recovered, access ends as above.

What you are responsible for

You are responsible for everything you submit in a form, filled or typed. We do not check that a filled value is correct, current or appropriate for the form it landed in. Read the form before you submit it, particularly where the submission matters — an application, a payment, a legal or government form.

• Only put another person's details in a profile if you are allowed to hold them.
• Do not use Fillaid to submit forms on someone else's behalf without their consent.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• use Fillaid to break the law, or to submit false or fraudulent information;
• use it for bulk or automated submissions, spam, fake signups, ballot or survey stuffing, or anything else a site would reasonably call abuse;
• bypass, disable or interfere with the licence check, or use our fill endpoint for anything other than filling forms in your own browser;
• resell, rent or redistribute access, or build a competing service on top of our endpoint;
• copy, modify or reverse engineer the extension beyond what the law expressly allows you to do despite this clause;
• attempt to overload, probe or compromise our systems.

No warranty on accuracy or availability

Matching fields to values involves judgement and it will sometimes be wrong. We give no warranty that a fill is accurate, complete or suitable for any purpose. Fillaid is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted. If the model is unavailable or still waking up, the extension falls back to the rules that run on your device and tells you it has done so; that fallback is normal behaviour, not a failure of the service.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Limitation of liability

Until that wording is settled, what we intend is this: we are not liable for what a form does with the values you submit through it, for a submission you did not check, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited by reference to what you have paid for the subscription.

Changes to the service

We may add, change or withdraw features, and we may change how matching works as the model improves. If we withdraw something central to the paid tier while you are subscribed, [PLACEHOLDER: what we offer then — notice period and pro-rata refund, to be decided].

Ending this agreement

You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription, uninstall the extension, or both. Uninstalling removes the profiles and the licence key from your device.

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if payment fails and is not recovered, or if we are required to. Changes to these terms

Updated terms are posted on this page with a new effective date. For a material change we will give notice before it takes effect: [PLACEHOLDER: notice period and how notice is given]. Continuing to use Fillaid after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, cancel and uninstall.
